Anthropology is the study of humankind. This branch studies about the origin, the physical, the social and the cultural development and behavior of humans since the dawn of human race. It includes the various branches such as: 

  • Socio-Cultural Anthropology
  • Archaeology
  • Physical Anthropology 

Through anthropology one can study the way of life, archaeological remains, languages or physical patterns of different cultures of human race. Earlier career in anthropology was not of prime importance but it has started gaining popularity day by day.

  • Anthropologists are also hired by art galleries, museums, archives and libraries. May be employed as archaeologists, curators, social workers, linguists in publishing houses, tour guides, and in social service organizations.

  • Generally, field work involves study of certain ethnic groups or ancient artifacts in remote locations for long period of time.
  • The field work may lead to physical and mental exhaustion.  May have to work in locations with low comfort levels.
