On clearing UPSC entrance exam one has scope of working in various sectors of the government. Major areas of government services are Indian Administrative services, Indian Foreign Services and Indian Police Services. Based on ranks one works as a Additional Secretary.
One can give Entrance exams after completing graduation. Minimum age required is 21 and the upper age limit is 28 to 30. There is limitation on attempts of civil service exams and it varies from category to category.
